Life, web, and caffeine. By Pat Collins.
I have developed a pattern of taking every project I create to the next level. When I work on a project, I become obsessed with it to a point where I live and breathe it. Ideas consistently sprout in my mind. Creating my own business card was no exception.
I’m taking on a more traditional approach when networking with people. The Pittsburgh factor demands it. This is not to say I am considering my business identity in the same light. To become a successful web company, I think, one needs to think creatively and at the same time think of ways to market your business. Creativity is nothing without direction. It comes down to this: I am developing a fresh, innovative brand in a traditional town. My one rule for the business card project was to concentrate on creating something concrete that can be used for direct marketing while creating a unique identity that can be perpetuated through all media.

These are the results. I have shown them to many friends and colleagues, and the reaction I get is very positive. Personally, I am so happy with the results that I am starting to take design concepts that were created during the print design and use them for the Burned Media web site design.
My next goal is to network so darn well that I can get rid of all 500 of them.
