Left Lane

Starbucks now has a cinnamon latte called “dolce.” The barista behind the counter seemed surprised that on the first day of selling them that someone would know how to pronounce “dolce.” (Pronounced: “dole-chey.”) It was then that I had to flash my Italian credentials, put on some slick sunglasses and a smile, and dash out the door in true James Bond style, without paying or getting any coffee.

Then I woke up.

Seriously though, wouldn’t “James Bond Collins” be a sweet name?

UPDATE (1/19/06 3:30PM): I found out that rival Caribou Coffee is now offering multiple similar cinnamon-flavored coffees. This post is put into the business category.
