Life, web, and caffeine. By Pat Collins.
In my morning adventure to find carbohydrates and caffeine (the fuel of any self-respecting nerd with a web addiction), I discovered black and gold bagels at the local yuppie bagel shop down the street. This is because the Pittsburgh Steelers are in the playoffs, and tomorrow they play the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional playoff. It is a huge game, and since Pittsburgh lost to Indy the first time this year, the whole city is getting behind the team like I’ve never seen, not even last year when they had a 15-1 record.
I guess the city knew they wouldn’t go too far last year, but this year is a different story. This year is Big Ben’s second. He’s not a rookie anymore. I, for one, have confidence in them and I know the city does too. It’s very inspiring to see so much hope.
I still don’t trust those black bagels, though. Not with all the cream cheese in the world.
