Life, web, and caffeine. By Pat Collins.
My emotions watching the Steelers game today came under the succinct guise of indigestion. I felt like I was on a roller coaster; one minute jumping up and yelling as loud as I could when we sacked Peyton Manning on the 1 yard line, the next minute my stomach clenched tightly as Bettis fumbled the ball, giving it back to Indianapolis with a minute left. The wings I ate were talking back to me.
Then, finally, the pressure building, I watched the most accurate kicker in the history of football miss wide right, giving us the game we truly deserved to win. Needless to say I jumped around and shouted with the rest of Pittsburgh, taking in that tangible feeling of victory that only a playoff win can bring.
As I drove home, the signs on the highway echoed my still-hungry desire for more: “Go Steelers.”
