Life, web, and caffeine. By Pat Collins.
I’ll admit, I’m a little annoyed. Alas, it’s open season on public betas this week.
I went to open Left Lane in the brand spanking new release version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7 and immediately saw this glaring error:
The site looks fine in every other browser. I like the anti-aliased text and all, but I thought IE 7 was supposed to fix the problems it had, not create new ones. Shame on me for having faith. Another error with floats:
On the bright side, Mint is taking the news in stride, showing IE 7.0 along with all the other versions flawlessly. How’s that for future-proof?
I also see that :hover works on elements other than a tags. Good work, and welcome to 2005.
Update: See my corresponding Flickr entry for extended comments.
Good stuff
Among all the misplaced things, I can’t get over the menu. I just don’t see what the problem was with keeping it up top, where it belongs.
I think the UI team went a little overboard :/
